20 Bible Verses About Friendships Ending

Today we will be dealing with 20 Bible verses about friendships ending. Friendship doesn’t last forever. You may have heard the popular parlance that says that 20 kids can not floppy for 20 years. We all can’t be together forever. When life happens, friendship will end naturally.

Meanwhile, there are some friendships that should end if we truly want to succeed. There are some relationships that must die for us to grow in life. Abraham and Lot had to go separate ways for the covenant of God to begin to manifest in the life of Abraham. If the two of them had stayed together, it would be hard for Abraham to come into the fulfillment of God’s plan for his life.

Similarly in our lives, we must put an end to some friends for us to grow. Although some of them can be very painful. However, it is for the best. The scripture said what fellowship does light have with darkness, and what fellowship does good have with evil? The two of them must be separated. This is exactly how some friendships are. While you carry the light of the kingdom, there are some friends you go out with that are not exactly the same as you. They operate in another realm and until you free yourself from them they will continue to limit your growth in life.

Until the light shines, darkness will continue to prevail. As long as you are with this kind of friend, you will only toil day and night nothing significant will come out of it. When your friendship with someone you hold dear is ending, it might be painful at first, but in the end, it is all joy. We have compiled a list of 20 Bible verses about friendships ending. You will understand why some friendships must end and why you should let go.

If your right eye makes you sin, take it out and throw it away. It is better to lose one part of your body than to have your whole body thrown into hell. If your right hand makes you sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.

3. Psalm 101:5-6

I will destroy the one who secretly slanders a friend. I will not allow the proud and haughty to prevail. My eyes are looking at the faithful of the land, so they may live with me; The one who lives a life of integrity will serve me.

6. Psalm 41:5-9

My enemies say bad things about me. They ask, “When will he die and be forgotten?” If they come to see me, they don’t say what they are really thinking. They come to gather a little gossip and then go to spread their rumors. Those who hate me whisper about me. They think the worst about me. They say, “He did something wrong. That is why he is sick. He will never get well.” My best friend, the one I trusted, the one who ate with me even he has turned against me.

7. Proverbs 1:10-13

My son, if sinful men entice you, do not give in to them. If they say, “Come along with us; let’s lie in wait for innocent blood, let’s ambush some harmless soul; let’s swallow them alive, like the grave, and whole, like those who go down to the pit; we will get all sorts of valuable things and fill our houses with plunder.”

8. Proverbs 26:24-26

Great blessings belong to those who don’t listen to evil advice, who don’t live like sinners, and who don’t join those who make fun of God. Instead, they love the Lord’s teachings and think about them day and night. So they grow strong, like a tree planted by a stream— a tree that produces fruit when it should and has leaves that never fall. Everything they do is successful. But the wicked are not like that. They are like chaff that the wind blows away.
