Prayer is life. Prayer is the master key. We see how important prayer is when God taught us how to pray. When we’re lost, confused, happy, fulfilled, needs answers to questions we have when studying His word ,we pray .It’s our best solution we can ever think of. As Jesus said love your neighbor as yourself, it’s means we should pray for our neighbors too.
Interceding on behalf of a friend or our distant relatives or someone we don’t know is what God has commanded us to do.Jesus our father is our advocate, He talks to God on our behalf, we should also do that for people around us. When people who sees us role models or someone they can confide in, and they do , as Christians we should talk to God .
What does it mean to Intercede?
To Intercede on someone’s behalf means to ask for favour or help for someone. It is believed to be the most important aspect of faith as it helps the person you’re praying for to have a stronger faith in God and that way you’ve won a soul for the kingdom of heaven.
Intercession or intercessory prayer is the act of asking or requesting from God to pray on behalf of oneself or others. Interceding for others means that you’re not being a selfish christian but one who wants others to receive the salvation you’re also enjoying as you want others who thirst to be filled too.
It’s important to intercede for oneself, people we know and those we don’t know as there’s a blessing that awaits intercessors. It’s also a way we seek for others to enjoy redemption that we’ve been given freely. This way too we partner with God and the holy spirit so we can fulfill His will and His purpose for all human beings on earth to be accomplished. Standing in gap for someone or our family is very effective, as Christians we should practice being an intercessor, stand in gap for people both when they’re with us or not.
