Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses about Jealousy.

A jealous christian is not a doer of God’s word. God said we should not be jealous of ourselves as He will bless everyone accordingly. Blessings await all of us. That’s why the bible says we should wait till it’s our time. At everyone’s appointed time one’s blessings will be delivered. So don’t be jealous of your friends when they are getting what they want while it looks like you who have been serving God passionately is stagnant.


Being jealous means feeling or showing envy because of someone’s achievements, privileges, advantages abilities to mention a few.
If you envy your friends achievements it means you don’t trust God and also don’t trust in the process of God’s ways of delivering your own achievement to you.

Don’t be jealous of your friends or people around you instead be happy for them. Jealousy is a thief of joy. It makes you sad and unhappy. In an extreme case you can get depressed and unhappy which can make you to loose your faith. Twenty bible verses have been collected for us to learn how to stop ourselves from getting jealous.

 

1. James 3:16

For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.

 

2. Galatians 5:19-21

Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

 

3. James 3:14-16

But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.

 

4. Zephaniah 1:18

Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them on the day of the wrath of the Lord. In the fire of his jealousy, all the earth shall be consumed; for a full and sudden end he will make of all the inhabitants of the earth.

9. Zephaniah 3:8

Therefore wait for me,” declares the Lord, “for the day when I rise up to seize the prey. For my decision is to gather nations, to assemble kingdoms, to pour out upon them my indignation, all my burning anger; for in the fire of my jealousy all the earth shall be consumed.

11. Psalm 78:58

For they provoked him to anger with their high places; they moved him to jealousy with their idols.
