Today we will be dealing with 20 Bible verses about self-love. We have seen so many people even among believers condemning other people’s looks, behavior, or attitude. The problem most time is that even those condemning others don’t love themselves. The first step towards social acceptance and interaction is self-love. When you don’t love the way you look, where you stay, or who you are, it will be difficult to love others for who they are. Everything about human life has been preplanned by God. There is nothing about our existence that is a mistake. God has planned everything long before we were conceived. So, first, you must accept who God has made you and strive to be better for good. Only when you do this will you be able to love others and accept them for who they are.

While growing up as a kid, I discovered that I don’t love my family. I do not hate my parents but I just feel they are not doing enough to cater to I and my sibling’s needs. I saw other kids in school and how their needs are being supplied by their parents. This built resentment in my heart. So I see other kids better than me, it reduced my self-esteem, confidence, and courage to do other things. I began to withdraw anytime I’m in school. I dislike everyone because I feel they are better than me. All of these were happening because I could not just accept who I was and love myself for who I am.

Until we learn to love ourselves, we can’t possibly love others as the scripture has commanded. Have you seen a man give what he doesn’t have? It is not possible. The book of Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Whatever thing you are going through now not making it easy for you to accept and love yourself, God has better plans for you.

We have compiled 20 Bible verses about self-love.

And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
