Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses against curses.

Curses are definitely not from God. Who God has blessed no one can curse . God has promised us that no one has the authority to curse us. God’s blessings are all over our lives and we have access to God’s blessings everyday and anywhere. We should not be scared of any generational curses because Jesus has died for us and all the curses have been wiped out by the precious blood of God. We cant be serving God and still believe that a curse somewhere is holding us down and preventing us from being successful and achieving our goals.

Jesus precious blood has saved us already. After accepting Jesus as our Lord and personal savior we know that we no longer exist in our old way, we have found our new live in Jesus Christ who has saved us and washed us clean, definitely no weapon of evil or curses fashioned against us can prosper again. Twenty bible verses have been collected to help us pray with.

 

1. Galatians 3:13-14

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”— so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith.

 

2. Malachi 2:2

If you will not listen, if you will not take it to heart to give honor to my name, says the Lord of hosts, then I will send the curse upon you and I will curse your blessings. Indeed, I have already cursed them, because you do not lay it to heart.

 

3. Genesis 3:17

And to Adam he said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, ‘You shall not eat of it,’ cursed is the ground because of you; in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life.

 

4. Deuteronomy 28:15-68

But if you will not obey the voice of the Lord your God or be careful to do all his commandments and his statutes that I command you today, then all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you. Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the field. Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Cursed shall be the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out.

 

5. James 3:9-12

With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God. From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. Does a spring pour forth from the same opening both fresh and salt water? Can a fig tree, my brothers, bear olives, or a grapevine produce figs? Neither can a salt pond yield fresh water.

 

6. Deuteronomy 29:24-28

All the nations will say, ‘Why has the Lord done thus to this land? What caused the heat of this great anger?’ Then people will say, ‘It is because they abandoned the covenant of the Lord, the God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them out of the land of Egypt, and went and served other gods and worshiped them, gods whom they had not known and whom he had not allotted to them. Therefore the anger of the Lord was kindled against this land, bringing upon it all the curses written in this book, and the Lord uprooted them from their land in anger and fury and great wrath, and cast them into another land, as they are this day.

 

7. Genesis 3:14

The Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, cursed are you above all livestock and above all beasts of the field; on your belly you shall go, and dust you shall eat all the days of your life.

 

8. Numbers 22:6

Come now, curse this people for me, since they are too mighty for me. Perhaps I shall be able to defeat them and drive them from the land, for I know that he whom you bless is blessed, and he whom you curse is cursed.

 

9. Genesis 12:3

I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.

 

10. Psalm 109:17

He loved to curse; let curses come upon him! He did not delight in blessing; may it be far from him.

 

11. Leviticus 20:9

For anyone who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death; he has cursed his father or his mother; his blood is upon him.

His mouth is filled with cursing and deceit and oppression; under his tongue are mischief and iniquity.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.

16. 2 Kings 2:23-24

He went up from there to Bethel, and while he was going up on the way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him, saying, “Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!” And he turned around, and when he saw them, he cursed them in the name of the Lord. And two she-bears came out of the woods and tore forty-two of the boys.

 

17. Leviticus 24:15

And speak to the people of Israel, saying, Whoever curses his God shall bear his sin.

 

18. Leviticus 19:14

You shall not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block before the blind, but you shall fear your God: I am the Lord.

 

19. Romans 3:14

Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness.

 

20. Numbers 23:8

How can I curse whom God has not cursed? How can I denounce whom the Lord has not denounced?
