Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses for favour and mercy.

What do you understand by favour and mercy?

Mercy is the compassion showed towards someone when it is within ones power to punish them.Favour is defined to be an unexpected help, liking, an approval, an act of kindness, a support for someone beyond what is usual or what the person deserves. It is a very bad thing to lack mercy and favour in life. At times we get help from people we least expected, it could be at home, work or church.

There are times we find ourselves in situations which is beyond our control and we know that only God’s help can help survive and bring us out of the difficult situations. To overcome some difficulties in our lives, only if were shown mercy and favour by God because the bible even said that it was by His favour we were not consumed.

Favour and mercy works hand in hand. Every christians should know that our God is a merciful God and He always been merciful to us. In order not to fall out of God’s Mercy and favour, we should;

  • Listen to the word of God which will help us stay connected to Him.
  • Repent of any sin and from secret unholy dealings that might be a hindrance.
  • Live in accordance to His word and Doctrines and obey His word.
  • Love our neighbors as ourselves as He as commanded us to.

1. 1 Peter 1:3

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful. “Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven;
