Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses about jealousy in a marriage. Jealousy can destroy a marriage. It can lead to serious envy and when it is not checked, it leads to hatred. The act of jealousy will naturally make a man or woman rival another person who is close to their spouse. Jealousy is not part of the fruit of the spirit, that means it is from the enemy. One of the ways the enemy ruins marriages is by inflicting one of the spouses with the spirit of Jealousy. No one is safe around a jealous person. That’s why it must be checked before it ruins the marriage.

It is normal to feel uncomfortable when your spouse is getting close to the opposite sex. But every relationship should be built on trust. When there is trust, it helps caution the thought of evil. It cautions jealousy from coming. When you are a jealous wife or husband, you are most likely to become a hindrance to your spouse and you will stop them from socializing with others. And who knows who God has destined to help your family, it could be that person you don’t want to see with your spouse due to your jealousy and insecurity.

As much as you pray fervently against the act of jealousy, you must also study it from the scripture. You need every bit of information you can get about jealousy to help caution it. Because of this, we have compiled a list of 20 bible verses for jealousy in a marriage. Take time to study them and apply some of the principles that are provided therein.

Ah, stubborn children,” declares the Lord, “who carry out a plan, but not mine, and who make an alliance, but not of my Spirit, that they may add sin to sin; who set out to go down to Egypt, without asking for my direction, to take refuge in the protection of Pharaoh and to seek shelter in the shadow of Egypt! Therefore shall the protection of Pharaoh turn to your shame, and the shelter in the shadow of Egypt to your humiliation.
