The act of jealousy will naturally make a man or woman rival another person who is close to their spouse. Jealousy is not part of the fruit of the spirit, that means it is from the enemy. One of the ways the enemy ruins marriages is by inflicting one of the spouses with the spirit of Jealousy. No one is safe around a jealous person. That’s why it must be checked before it ruins the marriage.
It is normal to feel uncomfortable when your spouse is getting close to the opposite sex. But every relationship should be built on trust. When there is trust, it helps caution the thought of evil. It cautions jealousy from coming. When you are a jealous wife or husband, you are most likely to become a hindrance to your spouse and you will stop them from socializing with others.
