Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses about Communion.

Communing with Christ is an important part of our Christian journey as it helps us grow spiritually and strengthens our faith as Christians. We also termed it holy communion. It’s the service of christians worshipping at God’s feet with which bread and wine are made sacred and shared. Jesus talked about Taking on the whole armour of Christ so we will be prepared always and the devil won’t have dominion over any of our affairs or even be able to attack us at our weakest.

Holy communion with Christ has it’s special meaning.Its a sacred time of fellowshipping with God where believers remember how Jesus sacrificed Himself on the cross, how He gave up himself as the sacrificial lamb. In this time believers gather together and commemorate the death of Jesus. They partake in sipping of wine and eating bread which signifies the blood and flesh of Jesus Christ. This gives hope to believers as it strengthens and nourishes their faith.

Communion celebrate Jesus Last supper with His disciples. Also communion celebrate how Jesus gave Himself for us to completely give us a better life . These twenty bible verses have been collected to help us understand the significance of communing with Christ.

 

1. Matthew 26:26-28

Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.” And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

 

2. Luke 22:19-20

And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.

So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink.
