Today we will be dealing with 25 Bible verses for depression and hopelessness. The world is changing at a fast pace and the enemy is rapidly taking stock, inflicting people with different kinds of epidemic and psychological diseases. We have read and seen too many people kill themselves due to depression. As it is now, depression is the biggest cause of suicide all over the globe. And while most people still don’t believe there’s anything called depression, the suicide rate continues to gain weight.

Depression is a state of hopelessness. One thing that still keeps many people alive today is hope. When hope is lost, a man loses the essence of living. He doesn’t see any need to strive or fight. Such a man will give in to any demon or problem tormenting him. And when this happens, the enemy is happy. Hopelessness is a state of faithlessness. When faith is lost in one person we believe could help us, hope will die. And when this happens, a man will slip into depression.

Meanwhile, this is not part of God’s plan for our lives. The scripture made us understand that God will not tempt us beyond what our faith can carry. So our state of hopelessness and depression doesn’t interest God. It doesn’t make God happier. The devil loves it better when our hope is lost. Only God can heal a man living in depression. Only God can make a hopeless man still find a reason to keep living. The word of God is potent in helping us find answers where we least expected.
