2. Luke 6:27-30

But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. To one who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also, and from one who takes away your cloak do not withhold your tunic either. Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back. And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.

3. Matthew 5:43-45

You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. 4. Proverbs 6:16-19

There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.

5. John 15:23-25

Whoever hates me hates my Father also. If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin, but now they have seen and hated both me and my Father. But the word that is written in their Law must be fulfilled: ‘They hated me without a cause.

7. Psalm 109:1-8

Be not silent, O God of my praise! For wicked and deceitful mouths are opened against me, speaking against me with lying tongues. They encircle me with words of hate, and attack me without cause. In return for my love they accuse me, but I give myself to prayer. So they reward me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

8. Matthew 24:9-13

Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

9. Psalm 5:1-9

Give ear to my words, O Lord; consider my groaning. Give attention to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to you do I pray. The boastful shall not stand before your eyes; you hate all evildoers.

10.  1 John 2:8-11

Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth. He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

That’s why the bible says we should wait till it’s our time. At everyone’s appointed time one’s blessings will be delivered. So don’t be jealous of your friends when they are getting what they want while it looks like you who have been serving God passionately is stagnant.

Being jealous means feeling or showing envy because of someone’s achievements, privileges, advantages abilities to mention a few.
If you envy your friends achievements it means you don’t trust God and also don’t trust in the process of God’s ways of delivering your own achievement to you.

Don’t be jealous of your friends or people around you instead be happy for them. Jealousy is a thief of joy. It makes you sad and unhappy. In an extreme case you can get depressed and unhappy which can make you to loose your faith. Twenty bible verses have been collected for us to learn how to stop ourselves from getting jealous.

4. Zephaniah 1:18

Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses about jealousy in a marriage. Jealousy can destroy a marriage. It can lead to serious envy and when it is not checked, it leads to hatred. The act of jealousy will naturally make a man or woman rival another person who is close to their spouse. Jealousy is not part of the fruit of the spirit, that means it is from the enemy. One of the ways the enemy ruins marriages is by inflicting one of the spouses with the spirit of Jealousy. No one is safe around a jealous person. That’s why it must be checked before it ruins the marriage.

It is normal to feel uncomfortable when your spouse is getting close to the opposite sex. But every relationship should be built on trust. When there is trust, it helps caution the thought of evil. It cautions jealousy from coming. When you are a jealous wife or husband, you are most likely to become a hindrance to your spouse and you will stop them from socializing with others. And who knows who God has destined to help your family, it could be that person you don’t want to see with your spouse due to your jealousy and insecurity.

As much as you pray fervently against the act of jealousy, you must also study it from the scripture. You need every bit of information you can get about jealousy to help caution it. Because of this, we have compiled a list of 20 bible verses for jealousy in a marriage. Take time to study them and apply some of the principles that are provided therein.

1. Isaiah 30:1-33

Ah, stubborn children,” declares the Lord, “who carry out a plan, but not mine, and who make an alliance, but not of my Spirit, that they may add sin to sin; who set out to go down to Egypt, without asking for my direction, to take refuge in the protection of Pharaoh and to seek shelter in the shadow of Egypt! Therefore shall the protection of Pharaoh turn to your shame, and the shelter in the shadow of Egypt to your humiliation. For though his officials are at Zoan and his envoys reach Hanes, everyone comes to shame through a people that cannot profit them, that brings neither help nor profit, but shame and disgrace.”

2. Exodus 20:5

You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me,

3. Psalm 22:1-31

To the choirmaster: according to The Doe of the Dawn. A Psalm of David. My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning? O my God, I cry by day, but you do not answer, and by night, but I find no rest. Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel. In you our fathers trusted; they trusted, and you delivered them. To you they cried and were rescued; in you they trusted and were not put to shame.

4. Galatians 5:13

For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

5. Exodus 20:4-5

“You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me,

6. Psalm 143:8-9

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life. Rescue me from my enemies, LORD, for I hide myself in you.

7. Song of Songs 8:6-7

Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame. Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot sweep it away. If one were to give all the wealth of one’s house for love, it would be utterly scorned.

8. Proverbs 6:34

For jealousy arouses a husband’s fury, and he will show no mercy when he takes revenge.

9. Ezekiel 16:42

Then my wrath against you will subside and my jealous anger will turn away from you; I will be calm and no longer angry.

10. Proverbs 23:17-18

Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the LORD. There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.

11. 1 Corinthians 3:3

You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans?

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

13. Ecclesiastes 4:4

And I saw that all toil and all achievement spring from one person’s envy of another. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.

Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it.

15. Romans 12:21

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

16. James 4:2-3

You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

17. Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

18. 1 Corinthians 1:27-29

But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.

19. Philippians 2:3

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility, value others above yourselves.

20. James 3:14-16

But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, nonspiritual, demonic. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.
