And because the enemy understands that our level of endurance is minimal, he will use that against us. The Lord is telling us to keep calm and patient in hard times.

When the storm of life comes raging at us, we should stand our ground and be strong. Our lack of patience during hard times gives the enemy joy because we won’t stop running from pillar to post looking for a solution. Whereas, God told us that He has conquered the world. And He has promised us that His plans for us are of good and not evil to give us an expected end.

The scripture is teaching us how to react when we are dealing with people.

You must be slow to speak but quick to listen. One of the things we must take charge of is our mouth and mind. When you lose control of your mind, you can’t censor the type of thoughts that goes through it. When you lose control of your mouth, you can’t control what comes out of it. And words are powerful. However, it is hard to be patient during a difficult situation. How do you calm someone going through the pain of child loss or a wife who has just lost her husband to the cold hands of death?
