Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses about baptism and salvation. Salvation comes when we genuinely accept Christ as our personal Lord and savior. Salvation comes when we confess with our mouth and accept with our hearts. The scripture said except a man believes he can not see the kingdom of God. Salvation is the first step towards knowing God. Salvation is growth. When we receive the gift of salvation through Christ Jesus, it doesn’t just end there. We begin to grow in the knowledge of Christ and the things of the spirit. After this, we receive our initiation into the priesthood of Christ through baptism.

The natural concept of baptism involves being deep into the water thrice as John the Baptist did to Christ in the river Jordan. However, the concept of baptism is beyond being buried in the water. This is a physical baptism. There is a spiritual baptism. John the Baptist while describing Christ Jesus mentioned that the one coming after him will not baptize people with water but with the holy spirit and fire. This was the type of baptism that the Apostles received on the day of the pentecoste at the upper room. After a man receives the baptism of water, he must also receive the baptism of the holy ghost. This is when a man receives the Power to discharge his duties as a general in the Lord’s Army. Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” When we receive the baptism of the holy spirit, we receive power.
