20 Bible Verses About Caring For The Vulnerable

0 609

Today we will be dealing with 20 Bible verses about caring for the vulnerable. What does vulnerability mean? It means being open to attack or criticism. Those who are vulnerable are people who are weak in one area of life and the enemy is planning to use their weakness against them. Do not make mistakes, sin makes a man vulnerable, and the lack of money makes man vulnerable. Many of those who steal today do so because of poverty. Poverty made them vulnerable to stealing.

The scripture said our adversary goes about like a roaring lion looking for whom to devour. The moment the enemy identifies a weakness in their life, he plans to use that vulnerability against that individual. God wants us to care for the vulnerable. He wants us to help them get out of that sin so they won’t be subjugated to the attack of the enemy.

The scripture said it is for Freedom that Christ has set us free so, therefore, let us stand firm in our freedom that we may no longer be slaves to sin. Vulnerability makes a man slave. Our duty of care is not towards our fellow Christians alone, it is to everyone created by God. The principle of our evangelism should be built on showing care for other people.

When we go out to share the gospel of Christ with people, we must be ready to take care of their needs. A man who is hungry and barely has enough to feed himself is vulnerable to stealing. However, when his problem is solved, he would not be enticed to steal or take that which doesn’t belong to him. Someone who is addicted to fornication has been made a slave to the power of sin. We can show care to such a person by preaching, following up, and interceding for that person.

Our calling into the fold is for us to act in the capacity of a Priest. We become the intermediary between God and man. We intercede on behalf of the people. This was what Christ did when he came to earth. He was the Great High Priest for us all. That’s what God wants us to be to others. We become this by showing love and care to the hopeless, the helpless, and the vulnerable. We have compiled a list of 20 Bible verses about caring for the vulnerable.
