Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses about Determination.

The passion of a man is what he has to keep going. Having determination can help you overcome so many things as it keeps you from thinking about giving up or loosing hope. Determination is the firmness of purpose , resoluteness. It is also the process of establishing something , controlling and not giving up on a project work, an assignment, a task to mention a few.

When you are determined nothing can make you go against your faith as a Christian. A determined person is not easily swayed or tempted as their focus is always on their goals and objectives they hope to achieve. Distractions is one thing we should do away with if we are really hoping to achieving a goal within a short period of time or in some years.

As Christians the word of advice to us this morning is we should be focused and not allow distraction to take charge of our lives in order not to loose focus and lose at the end of the day. Twenty bible verses have been collected here to help us understand how we can be focused and not loose our determined spirit.

 

1. 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12

And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.

 

2. 1 Corinthians 9:24-27

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
