Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses about Freedom in Christ.
Jesus Christ died for us so that we can be saved and be free from sins. The bible says for God so love the world that He gave us His only begotten son, that whose over believe and accept Him as their Lord and personal saviour, shall not perish but have an everlasting life and have an expected end.
Jesus came to deliver us from the bondage of the law and sin, He came to give us liberty and freedom which is why we should hold on to Him tightly. Those who have seen Christ and accepted Christ Jesus have been freed and saved. Today’s topic is to encourage us to hold on to our faith and serve the Lord wholeheartedly. Jesus preaching was all about Love, we should show love to people around us, by doing this we are doing the will of God.
Jesus already told us that there is freedom and liberty in Him. Once we accept Him we are no longer slaves to sin because we are now called children of God. Twenty bible verses about having freedom in Christ have been collected for us to read in today’s topic.
1. Galatians 5:1-8
For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. Look: I, Paul, say to you that if you accept circumcision, Christ will be of no advantage to you. I testify again to every man who accepts circumcision that he is obligated to keep the whole law. You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace. For through the Spirit, by faith, we ourselves eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness.
2. Romans 8:1-4
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
3. Galatians 5:13-14
For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
4. Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
5. Isaiah 61:1
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.
6. Galatians 4:3-7

7. 1 Corinthians 6:12
All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be enslaved by anything.
8. Romans 8:21
That the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
9. Luke 4:18-19
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.
10. 2 Peter 2:18-22

They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved. But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
12. John 16:13
When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.

Now before faith came, we were held captive under the law, imprisoned until the coming faith would be revealed.
