Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses about giving advises.

As Christians, we are seen as people filled with God’s wisdom, understanding and knowledge. We have people around us who sees good qualities of Jesus in us and wants to learn one or two things from us. Sometimes we see that our new converts sees us as their role models. When people come to us for advise we should try not to be rude and make sure we give appropriate advice . It’s important we know that before giving advises we should ask for the help of the Holy spirit first who will direct us and tell us what to say.


Giving advises to people around us is a gift from God and we should use it for the glorification of Our Father in Heaven. Twenty bible verses have been collected to help us understand how we can give Holy spirit filled advice to people around us when they need help and spiritual guidance.

 

1. Proverbs 19:20

Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future.

 

2. Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

 

3. Mark 12:41-44

And he sat down opposite the treasury and watched the people putting money into the offering box. Many rich people put in large sums. And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which make a penny. And he called his disciples to him and said to them, “Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the offering box. For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on.

 

4. Jeremiah 3:1-15

If a man divorces his wife and she goes from him and becomes another man’s wife, will he return to her? Would not that land be greatly polluted? You have played the whore with many lovers; and would you return to me? declares the Lord. Lift up your eyes to the bare heights, and see! Where have you not been ravished? By the waysides you have sat awaiting lovers like an Arab in the wilderness. You have polluted the land with your vile whoredom. Therefore the showers have been withheld, and the spring rain has not come; yet you have the forehead of a whore; you refuse to be ashamed. Have you not just now called to me, ‘My father, you are the friend of my youth— will he be angry forever, will he be indignant to the end?’ Behold, you have spoken, but you have done all the evil that you could.

 

5. 2 Corinthians 9:6-8

The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.

 

6. Romans 8:1-4

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

 

7. Matthew 6:19-21

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

 

8. Proverbs 23:19-21

Hear, my son, and be wise, and direct your heart in the way. Be not among drunkards or among gluttonous eaters of meat, for the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty, and slumber will clothe them with rags.

14. Hebrews 13:1-10

Let brotherly love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. By insolence comes nothing but strife, but with those who take advice is wisdom.

Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.

 

17. Matthew 6:2

Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.

Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back.
