Today we will be dealing with 20 Bible verses about God’s Kingship.

We all in are awe of who God is. The bible has always referred Him to be the One who was and the One who is to come. Although we know Him to be humble, He is still King of all Kings.The power of God as king is precisely the power to exercise God’s authority. This means that God’s power supercede every other power and the scripture also agree with these saying.

God’s kingship means He has the power and authority to fight the forces of evil, to save and lead his people and to help us fight and win against all odds the devil might throw at us. If we remember in His words He said He has given us a name which is above every other names to command,cast out and trample upon. His kingship also shows the reckless love a King of a kingdom shows his citizens.

It also in a way show how reckless, overwhelming and never ending the love God has for us is. His kingship is at the same time universal, extending to all nations and peoples and even the natural environment and it isn’t limited to a group of people or a certain county. We will be looking at 20 Bible verses that talked about how great and wonderful God’s kingship is in the following paragraphs.

 

1.1 Chronicles 29:11-12

Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the dominion, O Lord, and You exalt Yourself as head over all. Both riches and honor come from You, and You rule over all, and in Your hand is power and might; and it lies in Your hand to make great and to strengthen everyone.

 

2. John 18:36-37

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm.” Therefore Pilate said to Him, “So You are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.

 

3. Philippians 2:9-11

Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

 

4. Hebrews 2:9

But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.

But Jesus answered them, “My Father is working until now, and I am working.” This was why the Jews were seeking all the more to kill him, because not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.
