Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses about How to follow Christ.
Jesus Chris is our standard and role model as Christians, we only look up to Him as the author and finisher of our faith. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and also life. It was said that Jesus was sent to us to die for our sins and make every crooked ways straight for us. Jesus is so powerful and wonderful that He made a way for everyone of us who have decided in our heart to renounce our old ways and accept Jesus as our Lord and savior. Only Jesus can save.
First step to following Jesus is to accept Him and worship Him alone meaning that we have to do away with every other things in our live that does not glorify Jesus. After accepting Jesus into our lives, then we study our bible, study the word of God with our fellowship brethren and seek knowledge if necessary.
We have to do away with our old ways as Apostle Paul said in the book of Romans that we should do away with flesh and be spiritually minded. Twenty bible verses have been collected on how to follow Christ and obey his instructions.
1. 1 Peter 2:21
For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.
2. Matthew 16:24
Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
3. Matthew 7:21-23
Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.
4. Mark 8:34
And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
5. John 15:16-17
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. These things I command you, so that you will love one another.
6. James 2:20-24
Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar? You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by his works; and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”—and he was called a friend of God. You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.

And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Immediately they left their nets and followed him. And going on from there he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets, and he called them. 8. John 15:5-8
I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself?

The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John.

Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
