Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses about Idolaters.

When God gave Moses His commandments, He says He is a jealous God in Exodus 20:3,5 Thou shalt have no other gods before me; Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them. nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God.

We only have one powerful and mighty God whom we should serve obediently and relentlessly. In God’s words we should not make any graven image or serve any unknown god except our Father in Heaven who has given us His breath to be a living soul and created us for His purpose and will alone.

When God created us we were wonderfully and fearfully made by Him therefore we have no reason to betray Him as only God alone can save us and win our battles for us just as He has won so many countless battles for us ever since we were given birth to. Twenty bible verses have been collected for us to know about what God say about Idolaters and idolatry.

1. Exodus 20:3-6

“You shall have no other gods before Me. “You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth. You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing loving kindness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

2. Galatians 5:19-21

Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

No, but I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God; and I do not want you to become sharers in demons. We are not stronger than He, are we?

All who fashion idols are nothing, and the things they delight in do not profit. Their witnesses neither see nor know, that they may be put to shame. They shall be terrified; they shall be put to shame together. The iron smith takes a cutting tool and works it over the coals. He fashions it with hammers and works it with his strong arm. He becomes hungry, and his strength fails; he drinks no water and is faint. The carpenter stretches a line; he marks it out with a pencil. He shapes it with planes and marks it with a compass. They have mouths, but do not speak; eyes, but do not see.

For the customs of the peoples are vanity. A tree from the forest is cut down and worked with an axe by the hands of a craftsman. Their idols are like scarecrows in a cucumber field, and they cannot speak; they have to be carried, for they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they cannot do evil, neither is it in them to do good.” There is none like you, O Lord; you are great, and your name is great in might. Who would not fear you, O King of the nations? For this is your due; for among all the wise ones of the nations and in all their kingdoms there is none like you.
