Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses about leadership in the church. Leadership in the church is very crucial. They are the pinnacle upon which the heavyweight of the gospel rests upon. Christ said upon this rock I will build my church and the gate of hell shall not prevail over it. If the gate of hell will not prevail over the church, the leaders of the church must be up and doing. The church is the last day vehicle conveying people to the kingdom of heaven. If the church should miss it, the Kingdom of hell will triumph as there are many souls yet to be converted to Christ.

 

The leaders in the church are intercessors, they are prophets who speak the mind of God to the congregation, they are Shepard that tends to the sheep. Mere men are not to be allowed to be part of the leadership. Men who have not settled their secret place should have no role in the leadership of the church. Men who still struggle with the flesh should not be allowed into positions of leadership in the church. Leadership in the church is more spiritual than it is physical. That’s why Christ prayed fervently for Peter before He was taken. Peter was seen as the shoulder that the gospel of Christ will rest upon after Christ.

But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.” Apostle Peter was a leader, he was regarded as the next in command after Jesus and voted the most likely to take over from Jesus. That’s why Jesus took time to groom Peter into becoming a formidable force.
