Today will be dealing with 20 Bible verses about letting go of hurt feelings. For us to move forward in life, we must learn to let go of the pain of the past. The more we remember this pain and those who caused us that pain, the more bitter we become. This might hinder the manifestation of God’s blessing upon our lives.

The pain of the past will always keep us locked in the dark. It is like a chain that keeps us bound with the past we are trying to forget. Every time we remember it gives us an unending sequence of unspeakable pain and anger. The enemy understands this and that’s why he keeps using it against us.

Esau was locked away with his past with Jacob. That’s why despite how much God has blessed him and how rich he has become, he never saw himself better than Jacob who at that time had nothing. The pain of the past will naturally give a man low self-esteem. While some pains can’t be defeated or taken away, we can outgrow most of those pains.

Esau never learned how to outgrow his pain and anger against Jacob. He spent the larger part of his life looking for Jacob to make him pay for the pain he caused him in the past. Meanwhile, the scripture recorded the Lord has blessed Esau and made him prosperous among men. But because Esau could not forget that Jacob hurt him, he spent more of his life looking for Jacob.
