Today we will be dealing with 20 Bible verses about serving God. The primary essence of our creation is to serve God. Serving God is not just about going to church or attending different worship centers. It is also about our heart of humanity. We serve God not only by being devoted to our religious duty. We serve God by showing love and kindness to other people.
Remember when Christ was teaching about the judgment and people will be judged. Matthew 25:41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me. They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.
Jesus told the people if you don’t show love and kindness to the people around you, that means you didn’t do it for God. And that is one of our services to Him. As much as we devout ourselves to religious activities, we must love and care for our neighbors. If we are so passionate about the God we have not seen but do not care about the man next to us, we are not serving God.
