The scripture has so much to say about domestic violence and abusive husband. When it comes to domestic violence, the woman suffers a larger share of it. There are so many women living in bondage in their marriage. They can’t cry out for help out of the fear of being discriminated against. They would not want to divorce their husbands too because they fear what the church would say. As time passes, the pain lingers on and they continue to die in silence.

 

It is important to know that God doesn’t support domestic violence or abuse. The scripture told the man to love his wife just as Christ loved the church. God doesn’t approve of abuse of women or hitting women. However, the enemy always finds his way into marriages. He will turn a once blissful home into a den of pain and suffering. As this cont to happen, the wife will be left with so much pain than she could bear. We have heard the news of wives committing suicide in their marriage because of the pain they are going through. This is not the plan of God for the marriage.

 

If you are hurt as a wife or you feel broken, there are many provision in the bible that offers soothing relief to such pain. And if you are an abusive husband, pray to God to change your heart. Submit yourself to the power of the holy spirit to cause a change in your life. Repent from your evil ways today and return to God for He’s willing to forgive you. Through you, the Lord will restore happiness to your marriage.
