Today we will be dealing with 20 Bible Verses To Pray When Facing Persecution as God’s Children.

By human reasoning, it should be expected that if a believer conducts himself after the manner of Christ, people should respond positively. However, the Christian must not think that his Christian life will be without challenges. The apostles faced a lot of criticism and had challenges preaching the gospel after Jesus left. After all, the Pharisee and Sadducees schemed against Jesus by having one of His own to betray Him.

The painful truth is that all who desire to live godly life in Christ Jesus, should be ready to face persecution. The disciples of God all faced persecution, the likes of Steven, John the Baptist, Peter, to mention a few. Today’s topic is to encourage us to hold firmly unto the Lord Jesus also, to maintain Jesus Christ as the Lord of their life. The journey may be rough and tough.

The pains may be intolerable. But the reward is immeasurable. More so, living after the manner of Christian principles is not a guarantee that one shall be free from accusations, even framed up allegations, from the evil minded worldly people. Persecution emanates from the wicked mind of those who are not comfortable with what, to them, are strict Christian principles.

However, despite the presence of persecuting influences, Christians should live in harmony with the will of God. Believers should, of necessity, always live with a good conscience, and so, be in accord with the will of God.

The good news is that, those who would persecute innocent Christians, are continually put to shame by the Christian’s good conduct. So, regardless of the environment in which believers live, they must continue to live according to firm Christian principles and remember that Jesus Christ suffered on the cross, though He was wholly innocent.
