Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses about Generosity. Generosity should be an act of mankind that must be emulated and widely practice especially by christians.


What does generosity means ?
It is the act of being generous. To be generous mean to give more of something or more than what is expected or necessary. We have to be generous to people around us because it’s what God wants us to do and practice at all times. We should also remember that we are to do the will of our Father Jesus Christ at all times. A generous person is a nice person and will definitely be rewarded by God.


There are benefits to being a generous person. God blessings will be generously giving to the person because he has shown love to his fellow human being which is what God wants us to .
A generous person will be greatly blessed and favoured by everyone around them and above all will always find favour in the sight of God and human.


The bible spoke at length about generous people . Twenty bible verses have been collected to help us get more understanding about how to be generous.

 

1. Acts 20:35

In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.

 

2. 1 Timothy 6:17-19

As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.

 

3. Luke 12:33

Sell your possessions, and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.

 

4. Matthew 25:34-40
