Today we will be dealing with 20 Bible verses about heaven for funerals. According to the book of Ecclesiastes 3:1, There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build. There is a time to be born and a time to die. The scripture also made us understand that we came from God and unto him, we all shall return. It is sad to attend the funeral of a loved one, but the hope of reuniting with them in heaven gives us joy and gives strength to our wailing spirit.

During funerals, heaven is often talked about, especially during Sermon. According to our belief as Christians, for people that died in Christ, there is a place prepared for them by God. So once they die, their soul goes back to the father for judgment and from there they go to heaven. This is a place that is prepared for us by Christ Jesus. John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. Christ promised that we will be reunited with him someday.

When a man dies, the body perishes but the soul goes back to God. After death, comes a funeral where we commit earth to earth and dust to dust. A funeral is a place of reckoning. As the priest preaches about the life of the deceased, he also talks about heaven where we will all meet. It is at this point that everyone takes a moment to reflect on their lives. There are so many bible verses about heaven for funerals, so it is hard to pick from the long list of bible verses.
