This question may sound awkward to many of us reading, but it is the duty of every believer. God has saved us so we can save others from destruction, God has blessed us so we can be a blessing to others.

 

When we understand that the money and wealth we have accumulated is not ours it gives us the sense of giving and extending our hands of benevolence to other people. The problem most people, even believers, have is thinking everything they earn or have is a result of their sweat and effort. Meanwhile, the bible says it is not of he that willeth and runneth but of God that showeth mercy. We are not blessed because we are hardworking, neither are we saved because we are worth being saved. Our redemption from the bondage of sin is through the grace of God. That’s why we must endeavor to help others become like us.

 

Many believers put themselves in the position of a demigod. They claim a right to the things they have. Giving out or helping other people depends on who needs help. Unfortunately, this is not what God wants from us as believers. God has blessed us to become blessings to other people. We must not hold back when people come to us for help. We are supposed to carry each other’s burdens. The scripture said to love your neighbor as yourself. You are not a Christian if you don’t love your neighbor. If your neighbor gets into trouble and you don’t try to help him get out of that trouble, that means you don’t love God.
