Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses about father and daughter relationship. The father and daughter relationship can be viewed from the standpoint of when the daughter is still in the house as a young girl. The scripture recorded that a young lady living in the house is subjected to her father. Whatever decision she will make whether now or later must be subjected to her father’s approval. Until she is dutifully betrothed to a man as a wife, the father must take full responsibility for her. This is a type of relationship that the scripture admonishes that a father must have with their daughter.

 

When we follow the precept from the scripture, we will discover that it is not like a relationship thing, it is more or less like responsibility. The father owes his daughter a duty of care and the daughter also owes the father a duty of care. Whatever thing she must do must be with the approval of the father. That’s why it is important for fathers, especially Christian fathers to present themselves as good role model for their daughters. There are so many young women who would pray they marry a man like their father because they would not want to be treated the same way their father treated their mothers.

 

Ephesians 6:4 And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord. Fathers are considered to be the disciplinarian in the family. While they discharge this duty to ensure that their female Children are properly brought up with the right norms, they must do it with love. So many children have been provoked to anger by their parents. The scripture cautioned the fathers not to provoke their children to anger. They must be a perfect example of love and peace.
