Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses about Love of Money.

We all know having Money is a good thing. Money can make things easy for us. Not having money makes many feel sad sometimes and most prayers people pray to God is asking Him for money to buy one thing or the other. We remember that anything that has been placed above God in our lives as Christians has become a small god in our lives which is bad right ?.

As important as money is we should not love or value money more than our Creator. Many have misquoted the bible to say money is evil. Do we know that money is not evil Infact God wants us all His children to be rich as God Himself is not poor, but the bible says the “love” of money is the root of all evil. This is why many go against their creator to do many bad things that is not pleasing to God just to get money. We have collected twenty bible verses that will explain to us on what the bible says about the Love of Money and how dangerous it is to our faith.

 

1. 1 Timothy 6:17-19

As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.

 

2. 1 Timothy 6:10

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

 

3. Matthew 6:19-21

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
