Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses about our character as a Christian.

Our relationship with people around usmatter alot. The way we relate with people around us will help us move forward in our christian journey. Imagine preaching to an unbeliever and the unbeliever knows you to be a rude and unfriendly person in the neighborhood, that will not help us win souls right ?.

Our character speaks alot about us. Someone with good character will go to high places, wine and dine with great people. Our character help us have a healthy relationship with people around us and will also determine if people will see us as a real and good christian or a bad christian. Do we remember that Christians were first named in Antioch, and this was because the people of Antioch saw that these particular set of people were acting Christlike so that called them Christian.

The bible spoke at length about good characters. A meek person will inherit the earth, the pure in heart will see God, the givers shall not lack and so on. Twenty bible verses have been collected to help us understand more on what God says about having good characters as Christians.

 

1. Psalm 139:13-16

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.

 

2. 1 John 3:2

Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.

 

3. Mark 16:17-18

And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.

8. 2 Timothy 2:24-26

And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

 

10. 2 John 1:9-11

Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.
