20 Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses about Love. Love is a very important word both in the bible and the creator of Heaven and Earth Himself. We see that the world God wanted was all about love. God is love Himself. We saw how He went to a great length to prove to His children that He loves us dearly and will do anything for us.

God showed us love in many ways . To mention a few, we saw how He blessed us and gave us His blessings. His love is so great that He made His name so powerful, great and also a strong tower for us to dwell in so that when we call upon his name every problems we are dealing with will be destroyed. God’s name is love. God expects us as His children to extend His act of kindness and greatness towards us to others who don’t know God’s love exist. As Christians we are to love everyone around us just has God loves and cherishes us.


Love is the greatest commandment, the bible told us to love our neighbors as ourselves. How can we love our neighbors as ourselves;

  1. By caring for them both the believers and non believers
  2. Eye service is not accepted in the kingdom, so we shouldn’t Just show love to people only when there are other people around, when we are watched and not watched we should show love to people. If we only love people when others are watching the bible said that person have no reward from God, meaning we should do good at all time
  3. Help feed the poor, be considerate of people in your environment not just yourself alone, can care for them in terms of giving them money,food , buying them clothes and so on.
  4. We can also extend love to unbelievers too by preaching the word of God to them

1. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.

 

2. Mark 12:29-31

Jesus answered, “The most important is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.
