The bible says blessed are the meek for they shall see God. Being patient is a virtue. It’s a character every christians should possess and emulate. Being patient can take us to places that we imagined and also places beyond our imagination.

What does being patient really mean?

It’s the ability to accept delay, trouble, suffering, challenges without complaining, getting upset or angry. After accepting Jesus as our personal Lord and savior, the HolySpirit comes upon usaand then teaches and guide us on what to do and not to do. One of the lessons we will learn from the holy spirit is how to be patient. Being patient is an important aspect of faith, infact how do you call yourself a believer when you cannot wait patiently for God’s purpose and will to be fulfilled in your life.

Our level of faith determines how patient we have been. Life itself is full of challenges, trials and tribulations. There are days that when we play we get speedy answers and sometimes there are delay and we need to wait on God and continually tarry in God’s presence.

Those who wait on God will see God and His hands in every of their endeavors. Our father Abraham waited and was crowned to be the father of all nations and was greatly blessed beyond what humans can comprehend. Waiting on God has so many benefits and those who wait are called blessed and favoured.

Here we will talk about bible verses that will show us the benefits of waiting and believing in God and also the strength to be patient.

 

1. Psalm 37:7-9

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil. For the evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land.

 

2. Romans 12:12

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
