Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses about selfishness
God’s love is for everybody just as we must have heard countless times in Sunday school that God came for everybody both the sick and the healthy. Jesus has commanded us to spread love and positivity to everyone around us. Being selfless is the key to growing as a Christian, that, is caring for others. A selfish person can’t find favour because you get what you sow.
Do we remember when Jesus was preaching and He talked about the story of a king in the bible that showed his servant favour, but the servant refused to extend the king’s act of love and favour to others, when the information got to the king about the selfish act of the servant, the servant was punished and made to pay for his selfishness. God has showed us mercy and love, definitely we should show others God’s love. This is how we can grow in our christian journey.
What does being selfish means?
A selfish person lacks consideration and concerns for others. A selfish person only cares about himself . God frowns against these type of people. We should show love and care for everyone around us. Being selfish won’t allow us grow or move forward and how do we call ourselves christians when we can’t even care for the people God has placed in our care. Today’s topic talks about the reward that awaits the selfish people and how God frowns on people like this. 1. 2 Timothy 3:2-4
For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.
2. Philippians 2:3-4
