Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses about temptations.

When we accepted Jesus as our personal Lord and savior, we promised to serve Him to the end and walk the journey of faith till the end too. But as Christians, temptations will come. Even Jesus was tempted . We were made to understand that we are always being tempted by what we love and value the most. How do we overcome temptation when we are faced with one?

Ask God for help, pray and fast, seek help from someone who Is filled with the holy spirit not your neighbor that can lead you astray .

Let’s remember Jesus, after fasting and praying for many days, because the devil knew He was hungry and tired, the devil tried tempting God with food and to the glory of God, Jesus was able to overcome the temptation.

We are always being tempted by what we needed and what we cant do without. In our christian journey we will be tempted, and the purpose of facing temptation is so that the devil can make us fall and lose the glory God has for us. We pray the devil shall have no power over us and family in Jesus name.

We are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus who loves us. Jesus will always fight our battles for us, when we’re going through a phase we can’t handle ourselves, lets invite God ,He will speedily help us and fight for us.

1. James 1:12-16

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death. Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers.

 

2. 1 Corinthians 10:13

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
