20 Bible Verses About The Good Shepherd

Today we will be dealing with 20 Bible verses about the good Shepherd.

Jesus The Good Shepherd

John.10.4 – And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.
John.10.27 – My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. Jesus was giving an illustration about the good shepherd and the relationship between a shepherd and a sheep.

Here we see that a sheep is dependent on the directions of the shepherd. A sheep listens. A sheep isn’t like a goat who doesn’t listen. A sheep, whenever it has stayed with the shepherd recognizes his voice and will not follow the voice of a stranger, because it knows the complications.

Jesus is the shepherd of our lives. He seeks to direct us with His voice but are we really listening or we follow the voice of our own heart? The security of the children of God lies in our ability to let Jesus reign as the shepherd indeed. When He leads us with His voice, we are assured that we are on the right path.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I’m sorry for the ways I have tried to lead myself by my own voice of reasoning. Help me Lord to depend on you as a shepherd and continue to lead me by your voice. Amen.

And I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries, and will bring them into their own land. And I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the ravines, and in all the inhabited places of the country. I will feed them with good pasture, and on the mountain heights of Israel shall be their grazing land.
