Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses about unity and working together. There is strength in unity, there is power in coming together. Until we realize this, we might not be able to do much. Genesis 11:4 And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.” These were the people of Babylon. They came together to build a tower that will reach heaven. And they almost succeeded until God broke the unity in their midst.

When men work together in unity, it is difficult for even God to interfere. When the people of Babylon tried to build for themselves a tower that will get to heaven, nothing could stop them because of the unity of purpose. Even God couldn’t hinder them until he broke their unity. God had to throw confusion into their midst. They all could not understand themselves anymore. This was what could stop them from achieving their dream.

Where there is unity, there is a formidable force that can withstand almost any pressure or problem. When people work together, they achieve more than working individually. The scripture said one will pull a thousand and two will pull ten thousand. That shows the strength in unity and the great things that could be achieved when people work together. Remember, the scripture said in the book of Matthew 18:20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” God dwells in a place where there is unity because unity means to love and God is love.

The enemy understands that as believers we have strength in unity, that’s why he has continued to work on creating disunity in our midst. This he is able to achieve through different Church denominations and doctrines. Because our church has different doctrines, disunity has continued to dwell among us. We have forgotten that the central focus of our Christian life is Jesus Christ. We are one as long as we live the true meaning of Christ. It is so sad that we don’t realize this and the enemy has continued to capitalize on that to hunt us as believers.
