Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses about unity in prayer. It is important that we pray without weary. As believers, one of our greatest defense mechanisms is fervent prayer. When praying, there must be unity of purpose. The enemy understands the power of unity in prayer, that’s why he will always do something to destroy the unity among those who pray to reduce the strength of their prayers. Remember the scripture says one will pull a thousand and two will pull ten thousand, which shows the strength in unity.

 

When we pray together as believers, we must do it without hidden grudges against one another. We must do it with love. Love and unity have significant power in the realm of the spirit. Recall that when Apostle Peter was thrown into the prison, the scripture recorded that the church prayed fervently for him and God cause a miracle to happen. One of the major reasons why it seems our prayers are not answered is because there is no unity of purpose. If two persons can agree together on something and they pray fervently about it, even the greatest demon can’t stop it from coming into fulfillment.

 

For us to know the essence of unity in prayer, the scripture said in the book of Matthew 18:20 For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.” This shows that there is strength in number and God honors the prayer that is said with unity of purpose. 1. Romans 12:4-5
