Today we will be dealing with 20 scriptures on true repentance KJV. How long are we going to continue to rise from sin and fall back into it? The nature of man by default is such that finds it very difficult to defeat sin and iniquity. That’s why most times we are broken only for a moment, we have contrite hearts only for a short time. All these will continue to happen until there is true repentance.

True repentance is not just about a man seeing the errors in his ways only for a short time. It is the complete brokenness of man. The scripture says the sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart God will not despise. This is true repentance. When you are broken, you see the wrong in the things you have done and a contrite heart is the heart of repentance. This time you are not just feeling bad about that sin, you also detest it. And you don’t want it anymore.

True repentance comes through the help of God. Left to the nature of man, sin is always too difficult to be overpowered. Little wonder Apostle Paul said in Romans 7:15-17 For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. If then, I do what I will not do, I agree with the law that it is good. But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. This shows that sin is very difficult to be overpowered by the strength of a mortal man. But God promised us a power greater than sin.

Romans 8:11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. True repentance comes when the spirit of God dwells in us. It gives us strength over sin and iniquity. We have compiled 20 scriptures on true repentance KJV.
