Today we will be dealing with 20 Bible verses for love and marriage. As much as God almost made the institution of marriage compulsory for everyone, marriage is not possible when love is missing. When two individuals who don’t love one another tie the knot, it becomes an explosive mess.

God created humans. He understands the complexity of human nature. That’s why God made it compulsory for man to love his neighbors as himself. Meanwhile, the kind of love that God demand from Neighbors is different from the one He demands from husband and wife.

The scripture explicitly explained how a woman should treat her husband in the book of Ephesians 5:22-23 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.

In the subsequent verses, the scripture also taught man how to love his wife in marriage. The book of Ephesians 5:25-27 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.

When love is missing in marriage, the union becomes a disaster. We have compiled a list of 20 Bible verses about love and marriage. It will further teach us how and why we must love one another in marriage.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.
