Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses on unconditional love in marriage. 1 Peter 4:8 Above all, love each other deeply because love covers a multitude of sins. Marriage is about two people is not about one person. These are two persons from different families, different backgrounds, different upbringing, different norms, and cultures. Living together for the rest of life can’t be easy for two different persons coming together. There is no way their shortcomings won’t become glaring as each day passes. It won’t be long before they start seeing each other as two separate entities not compatible with a union. But the scripture is saying that love covers a multitude of sins.

Regardless of their differences, if love exists between them, their differences won’t be an issue. Most marriages break today not because they don’t love one another but because they could not sustain the love between them. When the two parties are unable to sustain their love for one another, divorce becomes inevitable. When we love one another unconditionally, it looks beyond the weakness or strength of such a person. This is the type of love that God has for us. It was not that we deserve it, but His love and Grace looked beyond our shortcomings as humans.

We are advised to love one another equally in our marriage. The scripture said what God has joined together let no man put an asunder. Do not let an asunder come between you due to an unloving spirit. Where there is no love, there is no peace, where is no peace, there is no forgiveness. Let God be the captain of your marriage because God is a perfect definition of love. Unconditional love in marriage is a commandment from God.
