Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses to celebrate fathers. Truthfully, fathers don’t get the accolades they deserve, unlike mothers. In the world today, when we check the number of times women/mothers are celebrated, it outshines the number of times men/fathers are celebrated.

The sacrifices of the father are not minimal for the children and the family. The scripture said for this reason a man will leave his family and cling unto his wife and the two will become one flesh. Before a man leaves his family, he must have found a woman. The process of finding a woman is not exactly easy.

A man will go through all that stress to marry a woman that he will still take care of for the rest of his life. The moment the woman starts having kids, the man’s problem has become double. As he fends for his wife, he must also provide for the family. It is naturally expected that a man provides for his family. If he doesn’t have, he must look for means.

Judging from the role of a father in raising a child. He acts as the disciplinarian to the children. That’s why every child needs a father figure while growing up to inculcate discipline in them. Fathers also need to be celebrated as much as we celebrate mothers. We have curated a list of 20 bible verses to celebrate fathers.

6. Genesis 18:19

These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

7. Luke 11:11-12

Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead?  Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?  If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.

Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. But if a widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to show godliness to their own household and to make some return to their parents, for this is pleasing in the sight of God.
