Today we will be dealing with 20 verses about water and fire.

Water takes about 75% of the earth surface. It is One of the most beautiful things God created plus it has many usefulness. It is useful in all aspects, we should also remember that it is used in churches to cleanse both the body and the soul which means it won’t be Wrong to say water is used for purification.

Water has the power to heal, as can be seen from the stories of Naaman . Jesus even showed us how important water is when He said all who thirst should come to Him as He is the source of the living water. Some of the usefulness of Water are It has the power to purify, Its used for healing, we use it to cook, It aids digestion and so on.Water was mentioned many times in the bible both in the old and new testament.

Fire is another great element God created, it has both it’s positive and negative uses. Fire is a necessary part of life, and it has many uses just like water such as heating, lighting, protection, cooking, purifying, and destruction among others.

Fire was also mentioned many times in the bible. It was also a way for God to show His presence to His children, and it is also associated with various purposes. Keeping this in mind, here are 20 Bible verses related to fire and water.

 

1. Luke 3:16

John answered them all, saying, “I baptize you with water, but he who is mightier than I is coming, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

 

2. Matthew 3:11

I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

 

3. John 7:37-39

On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

6. Ezekiel 47:1-5

Then he brought me back to the door of the temple, and behold, water was issuing from below the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east). The water was flowing down from below the south end of the threshold of the temple, south of the altar. Then he brought me out by way of the north gate and led me around on the outside to the outer gate that faces toward the east; and behold, the water was trickling out on the south side. Going on eastward with a measuring line in his hand, the man measured a thousand cubits, and then led me through the water, and it was ankle-deep.
