Today we will be dealing with 25 bible verses for forgiveness and repentance. For all have sinned and fell short the glory of God. And the scripture said the wages of sin is death. However, we take refuge in Christ Jesus who has died for the atonement of our sin. The scripture explained in the book of Ezekiel 33:11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel? God takes no pleasure in the death of sinner but repentance through Christ Jesus.

The first step towards achieving forgiveness from God is through genuine repentance. The scripture said God doesn’t take delight in the burnt offering, the sacrifices of God are a broken spirit and a contrite heart. When we confess and repent from our sin, God is faithful to forgive us our sins and iniquity. Forgiveness is never complete without repentance. First there must be a broken and contrite heart. A heart that is ready to desist from sin. Such a person confesses his or her sin and seek for forgiveness. Most people don’t really understand the concept of forgiveness.

Seeking for forgiveness without genuine repentance is complete. After we must have been forgiven, repentance is such that we don’t go back to the sin that we committed. We have compiled a list 25 Bible Verses for Forgiveness and Repentance.

When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.
