Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses about Hatred.

Hatred is a bad feeling that should be prayed against and rebuked. Having this feeling of hatred in you as a Christian is a sign that you need the help of the holy spirit. If you feel this way you need help. When we say we need help it means that the holy spirit Help is needed to purge you away from this evil thought and feeling.

God’s commandments is to love ourselves, if you hate your neighbors or friends, It automatically means you’re going against God’s commandments and definitely you’re not a doer of God’s word. How do you as a Christian share the word of God to unbelievers when you don’t even practice it yourself. Practice what you preach or else You need will be seen as a christian that doesn’t take the word of God to heart and doesn’t obey God’s word.

Today’s topic is to tell us to do away with whatever feeling that doesn’t belong to God that we still carry inside of us. Hating someone means having intense or passionate dislike . God frowns against people who are like this so we hope and pray that God will replace whatever feeling of hatred the reader feels right now with lots of God’s love and peace in Jesus name. Twenty bible verses have been collected to help us see that God frowns against this feeling.

 

1. Proverbs 26:24-26

Whoever hates disguises himself with his lips and harbors deceit in his heart; when he speaks graciously, believe him not, for there are seven abominations in his heart; though his hatred be covered with deception, his wickedness will be exposed in the assembly.

 

2. Luke 6:27-30

But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. To one who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also, and from one who takes away your cloak do not withhold your tunic either. Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back. And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.

 

3. Matthew 5:43-45

You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

10.  1 John 2:8-11

Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth. He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.
