Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses about humility and pride KJV. Pride and Humility are two opposite words. A man that has the Spirit of pride can never show humility. Meanwhile, humility does not mean that one is stupid. The scripture teaches and emphasize humility as against having pride in the heart. As humans, particularly Christians, it is important for us to shun the spirit of pride and adopt humility. God loves a humble heart, he exalts the humble and brings down the proud.

God would not share His glory with anyone. A proud man will put himself in the place of a god, and God will never compete for position with any man. Even Christ Jesus was submissive to the father to the end. What God demands from us is complete obedience to His will and instruction. He is the controller of our life and He always wants to be in charge. When a man is humble, he learns to obey God even when the instruction is not palatable.

Elijah told Naaman to go bathe in the River Jordan. Meanwhile, Naaman was a king and river Jordan was not a palatable river for a king to bathe. Pride wanted to set in for Naaman as he requested if there are no better rivers in Isreal where he could bath except river Jordan. He was, however, advised by his stewards to do whatever the man of God had instructed him to do. And after bathing in Jordan, Naaman’s leprosy was healed completely. Pride robs a man the blessing and favor that is due to him. There are so many people whose greatest enemy is pride. They would have achieved so many things if only they learn the act of humility.
