Today we will be dealing with 25 bible verses about being humble. We can’t finish our Christian race well without being humble. We must be humble both physically and spiritually to fully the purpose of God for our lives. There are times that the Lord will chastise us, if our heart is filled with pride, that might be the end of our Christian race. While it is important to be humble before the Lord, it is also important for us to be humble in our daily lives too.
Christ is the role model of our Christian faith and even Christ was very humble throughout his sojourn here on earth. There was no time that the scripture recorded that he disobeyed or disrespect His elders or even God. If we claim to be Christians, we must emulate the spirit of humbleness from Christ Jesus. Christ was so humble that it became difficult to identify him in the midst of His apostles. Even when he was about to be taken, it took a kiss from Judas to reveal who Christ was among the apostles.
The act of humility will help us go far in life. Pride will take us nowhere. A man that has the spirit of pride will find it difficult to obey the things of the spirit. And when a man continues to disobey the things of the spirit he will not grow. There is a level of brokenness, there is a level of submissiveness that the Lord demand from us. The Scripture likens us to be the sheep and Christ is our shepherd. We must portray the simplicity and humbleness of a sheep to grow. 1. Philippians 2:3-11
Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
