When a man is endowed with the power of the holy ghost, such a person gains confidence and courage. Faith will not work without Confidence and courage. It takes confidence and courage for Elijah to stand in front of thousands of Baal’s prophets and declare if I be a man of God let fire come from heaven and consume you and your fifty men. 2 Kings 1:12 So Elijah answered and said to them, “If I am a man of God, let fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men.” And the fire of God came down from heaven and consumed him and his fifty.

 

For a believer to gain courage and confidence, he or she must have faith in God. Faith activates courage and confidence. When the faith of a man is heightened, his level of courage and confidence will also increase. While trying to gain courage and confidence, a believer must first work on their faith in God. Our faith is increases through our knowledge of God. When we know God better, it strengthens our relationship with God. And when our relationship with God is top-notch, it increases our faith. When our faith is increased, it boosts our level of courage and confidence.

 

David could stand in front of Goliath because he was courageous. It was not the stone that David shoot through his slingshot that killed Goliath, it was God who made that happen. For forty days the children of Isreal were molested at the battlefront. God was waiting for a man with courage and confidence to take charge. The entire army of King Saul none had the courage or confidence to stand against Goliath. When God saw the courage and confidence in David, God knew it was time to act.
