Today we will be dealing with 20 bible verses for Grace and mercy.

What do you understand by Grace and mercy?

Mercy is the compassion showed towards someone when it is within ones power to punish them.

Grace in Christian theology is the spontaneous, unmerited gift of the divine favour in the salvation of sinners, and the divine influence operating in individuals for their regeneration and sanctification. Grace is the unmerited favor of God.

God showed His favor to mankind both the sinners and the believers even to those we think deserve the worst. God loves us so much that we were saved at Chirst expense. Which is why Grace has been termed God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense.Do we remember how Christ died for us , this tells us that God has always loved us before we loved Him. How unconditional His love towards us is.

Every successful thing we do in this life couldn’t have been achieved without God’s grace. We can actually do nothing without Christ helping us I’m sure we know that God’s grace and mercy is so important that we wouldn’t be able to breath and live our normal life without His grace and mercy.

In order not to continue to enjoy Gods grace and mercy wewe should;

  • Pray Always
  • Forsake not the gathering of the brethren
  • Seek for wisdom and understanding
  • Stay away from doing carnal things
  • Listen to the word of God which will help us stay connected to Him.
  • Repent of any sin and from secret unholy dealings that might be a hindrance.
  • Live in accordance to His word and Doctrines and obey His word.
  • Love our neighbors as ourselves as He as commanded us to.

1. 2 Corinthians 12:9

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

 

2. Titus 2:11-14

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.
