Today we will be dealing with Bible verses for low self-esteem. Self-esteem is the overall opinion you have about yourself. There is high self-esteem and there is low self-esteem. Many people suffer low self-esteem. While the world has almost misconstrued high self-esteem for pride, there is a thin difference between these two. When you have a great opinion about yourself, you would not settle for less. The things that bother other people will not bother you. But when you have low self esteem, you see yourself as a worthless and useless being. Everyone is better except you. This is not the way God wants us to see ourselves.

The scripture make me understand that man is created in the image of God. That makes a man a demigod. Until you start seeing yourself through the lens of God, you might continue to look down on yourself. Having good self-esteem comes from knowing who you are and the God you serve. The scripture said in the book of Daniel 11:32 Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery, but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. Joshua knew who he was and the God whom he serve that why he could declare in the book of Joshua 24:15-16 And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

Also, he could stand and command the moon and sun to stand still while he was at war. All this happens because he prides himself high as an individual having known his worth and the God whom he serves. A man with low self-esteem will not have confidence.
